This policy explains how we process the personal data of visitors to artechmotorsport.com and of customers of the online shop, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

What data we process
- Order data: name and surname, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, company name if any, VAT number or tax code, products purchased and amounts.
- Account data, if you choose to create one: email, password (stored encrypted), order history and saved addresses.
- Data you send us when you contact us by email or phone.
- Technical browsing data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, recorded in the server logs for security and to run the website.
We do not process payment card data: it is entered in secure fields provided by PayPal or on its pages, and PayPal acts as an independent controller for payment data.
Why we process it and on what legal basis
- Managing orders, shipping, returns and support: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Meeting tax and accounting obligations, such as invoicing and record keeping: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Answering your requests for information or advice: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Keeping the website secure, preventing fraud and abuse: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We do not use your data for profiling or to send you advertising without your consent.
Who we share it with
- PayPal, to process payments, including cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Express couriers to whom we hand over the shipment, chosen case by case: they receive only the data needed for delivery (name, address, phone number).
- Aruba S.p.A., which provides the email service.
- Cloudflare, Inc., which provides the website's content delivery and protection network (traffic to the website passes through its servers) and the anonymous statistics service described below.
- Accountant and advisers, for tax and legal compliance.
- Authorities, where required by law.
The website and the shop database are hosted on a server managed directly by us, in Italy. Some providers (Cloudflare, PayPal) may also process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. In these cases the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
- Orders and tax documents: 10 years, as required by law.
- Customer account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Email enquiries: for as long as needed to handle them and any follow-up, up to 24 months.
- Server technical logs: 14 days.
Cookies and statistics
The website uses only technical cookies, which are needed for it to work: shop cart and session, account login, chosen language, Cloudflare protection against automated traffic. These cookies do not require consent.
To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not set cookies, does not use other tracking tools on your device and does not identify individual visitors: the data is statistical and aggregated. We do not use profiling cookies, advertising or third-party marketing tools.
You can still manage or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block technical cookies, the cart and account may not work.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing, for data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to [email protected]. Some data, such as tax records, must be kept by law even if you ask for it to be erased.
If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Whether providing data is mandatory
The data requested in the order form is needed to conclude and manage the purchase: without it we cannot fulfil the order.
